Community Heartbeat Foundation is a dynamic nonprofit organization devoted to improving the lives of underserved children and families across our neighborhoods. Our mission is to create a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone has access to essential resources, meaningful experiences, and a sense of belonging. Through a variety of initiatives — including the distribution of nutritious food, seasonal pop-up shops, school supply drives, and festive holiday and toy giveaways — we strive to uplift families facing financial and social hardship.

We understand that lasting change happens through collaboration, and we proudly partner with a broad network of organizations to extend our reach and deepen our impact. Our strong working relationships with institutions such as the NYPD and the Department of Education allow us to engage directly with communities, while our partnerships with local nonprofits — including Kiwanis and the Marine Park Young Adults Association — foster a spirit of unity and shared purpose. These collaborations have allowed us to co-host impactful community events, expand our volunteer base, and ensure that vital resources reach the families who need them most.

With each event and initiative, we aim to create joyful and empowering moments — from a child receiving their first new backpack to a family experiencing the warmth of a community holiday celebration. Our pop-up shops provide not just essentials, but dignity and choice, while our toy drives and holiday programs bring hope and happiness during the times when it’s needed most.

At Community Heartbeat Foundation, our mission is to provide comprehensive support and life-changing resources to at-risk children and children with special needs throughout our community. We are committed to creating pathways for every child to thrive — academically, emotionally, and socially — by removing barriers to access and promoting equity, compassion, and opportunity. We believe that when children are given the tools to succeed, they not only rise above their challenges but go on to become empowered contributors to their communities.

Our work is grounded in a clear set of goals that guide our programs and outreach. First and foremost, we focus on meeting children's basic needs by distributing school supplies, clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials that help them feel confident and prepared. We recognize the urgent mental health challenges affecting today’s youth and strive to offer resources and referrals for counseling and support services — especially for children coping with emotional distress, trauma, or substance abuse. Through partnerships with licensed professionals and community agencies, we connect families with the help they need.

In addition to direct support, we create opportunities for joy, connection, and normalcy by organizing seasonal events like holiday parties, toy giveaways, and themed community gatherings. These moments offer more than just celebration — they give children a sense of inclusion and remind them they are seen, valued, and supported. We also believe strongly in the power of physical activity and organized sports to foster teamwork, self-esteem, and healthy habits. That’s why we provide sports equipment, sponsor youth teams, and collaborate with coaches and local leagues to make athletics accessible for all.

Each of these efforts is part of our larger vision: a community where every child — regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances — has the chance to reach their full potential. Through compassion, collaboration, and hands-on action, Community Heartbeat Foundation is building a future where no child is overlooked and every child has a chance to shine.

Sam Daniele, Board Member, and Mario Caggiano, Executive Director, were pictured at Marine Park Coffee after collecting jackets from a recent community drive hosted by the Marine Park Young Adults Association Inc. The event brought together local residents to donate gently used and new winter jackets, ensuring children and families in need had warmth and comfort during the colder months. This successful initiative highlighted the power of community collaboration and the ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable members of our neighborhood.
