At Community Heartbeat Foundation, our mission is to uplift children and families facing challenges in our neighborhoods, including those living in transitional or undisclosed housing and children affected by domestic violence. We are committed to creating opportunities for every child to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—by fostering inclusion, support, and a sense of belonging. We believe that when children are encouraged and equipped, they not only overcome obstacles but grow into empowered members of their communities.
Our work is guided by a simple principle: every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued. Through initiatives like school supply and backpack drives, nutritious food distributions, seasonal pop-up shops, and holiday toy giveaways, we strive to create joyful moments that bring families together and build a stronger, more connected community. These efforts are about more than material support—they are about hope, dignity, and inclusion, giving children and families the reassurance that they are part of a caring community. Whether it’s a child receiving their first new backpack or a family experiencing the warmth of a holiday celebration, every moment matters.

By partnering with organizations like Kiwanis, the Marine Park Young Adults Association, and countless local volunteers, we are able to mobilize resources, coordinate meaningful events, and extend our reach to families who are often overlooked. Our partnerships with institutions such as the NYPD and the Department of Education also allow us to engage directly with communities and ensure that support reaches those who need it most.
Each initiative reflects our commitment to building resilient, empowered communities. For example, Board Member Sam Daniele and Executive Director Mario Caggiano were pictured at Marine Park Coffee following a recent jacket drive hosted by the Marine Park Young Adults Association. Local residents came together to donate gently used and new winter jackets, providing warmth and comfort to children and families during the colder months.
